Let’s be honest: most people would rather go to the dentist than sit for a professional headshot. We worry about looking "stiff," "forced," or just plain out of place. But in a digital world, your face is your handshake.

I’m a Northamptonshire-based commercial photographer, but my journey didn't start with a camera, it started with Art and Illustration. I’ve always been fascinated by how a single image can shape an emotion or tell a story.

Before I took Welly Pictures full-time, I spent a decade teaching photography at colleges and universities.

Why does that matter to you? Because I don’t just know which buttons to press. I know how to structure a story, how to explain the "why" without the jargon, and how to make even the most camera-shy person feel like they’re just having a coffee with a friend.

Every brand is a different puzzle. I don't believe in "one size fits all." I tailor concepts and provide visual inspiration to craft images that aren't just pretty, they’re effective. I stay obsessed with current trends so your visuals never feel dated.

My work doesn't end when I hit "send" on your gallery. I actively support my clients by sharing their content, engaging on social media, and offering insights to help your brand grow. I’m your creative partner for the long haul.

A few things you might not know about me

  • The master’s degree: I have an MA in Photographic Communication. (I’m a certified nerd for how images communicate).

  • The teacher heart: I still offer 1-to-1 tuition because I love that "lightbulb moment" when a student finally masters their camera.

  • Latte fueled: Most of my editing marathons are powered by lattes and a very specific focus playlist.

  • Paddling to reset: When I’m not behind the lens, you’ll find me on the river. There’s nothing like a bit of nature and a paddleboard to refresh my creative batteries.

  • The name: Why "Welly Pictures"? It’s a nod to my Wellingborough roots and the idea that great photography should be grounded, practical, and ready to get stuck in.
